Job Description:

Blackbaud is seeking a collaborative and adaptable Alteryx Report Developer to join our Finance team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable reports and dashboards using Alteryx to support complex financial and business analysis. You’ll work closely with finance, accounting, tax and other project stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and support decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer the intake, testing, and approval process for new report requests
  • Build, document and maintain Alteryx workflows to blend, prepare, and analyze data from multiple sources, following best practices for modularity and maintainability
  • Implement robust data cleansing, validation and error handling within Alteryx workflows to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Use Alteryx's reporting tools—such as the Table, Report Text, and Render tools—to output data in various formats like PDF, HTML, and Excel
  • Schedule Alteryx workflows on an Alteryx Server to produce reports automatically, ensuring timely delivery of information without manual intervention
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Implement data cleansing and validation rules within the Alteryx workflow to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data used in reports
  • Design and develop dashboards and other visualizations to make complex data more accessible and actionable for end-users
  • Monitor, optimize and enhance workflow performance, proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of workflows, configurations, and procedures
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance via documented and controlled procedures, change management, data input validations and other key controls
  • Support data governance and security standards in all reporting activities
  • Stay current with Alteryx platform updates and best practices

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in Alteryx Designer or Alteryx Server
  • Experience with Workday report writing is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, see projects through to completion and deliver on time
  • Knowledge of financial reporting & accounting concepts
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices
