The Alteryx Administrator will manage and maintain the Alteryx Server environment, ensuring reliability and performance. Responsibilities include user management, license compliance, security implementation, and providing user training. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and collaboration with IT teams for integration.

Job Responsibility

  • Server Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining the Alteryx Server, ensuring its reliability and performance
  • User Management: Managing user access, permissions, and roles on the Alteryx Server, ensuring proper authentication and authorization
  • License Management: Overseeing Alteryx licenses, monitoring usage, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements
  • Security: Implementing security measures to protect data and workflows within Alteryx, including encryption and access controls
  • Backup and Recovery: Setting up regular backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data and workflows are safe in case of system failures
  • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitoring server performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing configurations for efficient workflow execution
  • Workflow Deployment: Assisting users in deploying their workflows to the Alteryx Server and troubleshooting any deployment issues
  • Integration: Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate Alteryx with other systems, databases, and data sources
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues with the Alteryx Server, including workflow failures and server errors
  • Upgrades and Patch Management: Planning and executing server upgrades and applying patches to keep the Alteryx Server up to date
