The purpose of the role is to provide effective after sales assistance to the Alternative Investment Group (AIG) team: marketing/sales of AIG products, support ad-hoc sales request, marketing needs of AIG Team and compliance approval.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the AIG business by providing timely information and updates to marketing teams and participating in marketing activities
  • Interact with regional teams to understand key business areas, the asset class, risks involved the compliance regulations and collaborate closely to build solutions/models/reports that can help in making informed business decisions
  • Review, monitor and implement governance processes to keep marketing presentation and after sales documentation up to date
  • Lead or take ownership of executing accountable activities, including performing administration services across the disciplines of communications and compliance
  • Build trusting relationships with internal customers by consistently delivering value-added consultancy services and delivery that exceeds expectations and positions HSBC for sustained success
  • Work across Group Businesses and support functions in the region to create organizational momentum for change, focusing on commonality of solutions and standardization of product and process
  • Collaborate with management/senior management across Customer Groups and key stakeholders (Compliance, Audit, Finance, HR etc.) to challenge ‘perceived wisdom’, achieve buy-in for the recommended solutions, evaluate change impact, and ensure monetization of benefits
  • Project management to streamline AIG governance activities and regulatory adherence, aligning all business management activities cohesively.

Requirements:

  • In-depth functional knowledge and extensive experience in Alternative Investments to effectively navigate through different business functions of AIG and expand the scope of the current engagements globally
  • Understanding of HSBC business drivers, customers, competitors, and emerging industry trends
  • Highly motivated, with proactive approach to business growth, with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong numerical skills
  • Ability to see the 'bigger picture' and assess relationships between solutions/projects and business performance
  • Ability to come up with solutions to unanticipated problems (ideally drawing on industry expertise and prior experience)
  • Ability to support innovative analytical thinking and solutions for improved business performance, ensuring alignment with Group FIM and local regulatory compliance within all projects, processes and outputs
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, effectively prioritizing personal and team workload, seeking guidance for wider priority decisions
  • Ability and experience working across multiple geographies to meet the role's specific requirements and demonstrate versatility.
