Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David's Bridal and reports to the Store Manager. S/he is responsible for exemplifying friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and providing superior customer service. Alterations Specialists are members of the store team and demonstrate the value and qualities of the David's Bridal brand.
Job Responsibility:
Complete all fittings and alterations to high standards
Welcome customers over phone, virtual chats and in person
Manage customer flow using systems
Maintain service levels
Provide exceptional service experience to multiple customers
Proactively address customer concerns
Communicate how alterations play a role in perfecting the dress
Assist stylists in closing sales
Maintain store-standards
Maintain a high standard of dress
Greet and escort customers to and from alterations appointments
Maintain quality control guidelines
Respond to customer questions
Build long-term relationships
Maintain inventory management
Ensure alteration pricing is at company standards
Manage all alterations, fittings and sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning
Resolve customer service issues
Support cash wrap behaviors
Maintain cleanliness of alterations room
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent degree
1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
Nice to have:
Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
