Job Description:

Education Supply Pool works with a variety of schools in the Newport and surrounding area. We are specifically recruiting enthusiastic and resilient individuals who have experience working with children/young adults with additional learning needs in a childcare setting. Teaching Assistants are a crucial part of the education workforce in Wales. The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital to supporting and motivating children and meeting all their specific needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a ALN Specialist School with Education and Training
  • Or Learning Resource Based experience
  • Experience working with children/young adults with additional learning needs is required
  • Be attentive to the unique needs of the students and be able to identify proper solutions when children encounter issues
  • Potential roles maybe challenging and requires someone committed and dedicated to the position
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Provide simulating activities whilst ensuring hygiene and safety rules
  • Great communication skills to collaborate with other teachers and families when needed
  • Owning a valid UK Driver’s License and having access to a vehicle would widen job opportunities
