Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our client school supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive specialist ALN school environment.

Job Responsibility

Supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, autism, physical disabilities and complex learning needs
Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual development plans
Occasionally assisting with personal care, mobility and wellbeing, ensuring dignity and safety
Supporting sensory, communication and differentiated learning activities
Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion
Working closely with teachers and specialist professionals

Requirements

Has experience supporting children or young people with ALN or complex needs
Is calm, patient and caring, with a flexible and positive approach
Works well as part of a team in a specialist setting
Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
A Child and Adult DBS is required for this position
