  • Performs various specialty tests ordered by a physician, such as pachymetry, Brightness Acuity Test (BAT), Potential Acuity Meter (PAM), and color vision testing
  • Assists with minor surgeries, intraocular injections, and laser treatments
  • Prepares patients for sterile procedures in exam or treatment rooms
  • Educates patient regarding the administration of medications, and pre and post operative instructions, as directed by physician
  • Handles specimens, biopsies and culture materials safely
  • Administers topical ophthalmic and oral medications at the direction of a physician
