Job Description:

The Allied Health Work Experience Program at Alfred Health will give you the opportunity to observe what it is like to work in Allied Health. The program will be based at one of the Alfred Health main sites with opportunities to spend time rotating across different Allied Health teams and areas. By the end of the Program you will have a good understanding of what Allied Health professionals do and will have observed what it is like to work in one of Australia’s largest public health organisations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Observe what it is like to work in Allied Health
  • Observe patients being assessed and receiving therapy in hospital wards
  • Observe the multidisciplinary healthcare team working together
  • Observe patients being seen in specialised outpatient clinics or via telehealth
  • Observe patients being fitted for a splint or with equipment

Requirements:

  • Secondary School student (Year 10 and above)
  • Interested in exploring a future Allied Health study pathway
  • Not already enrolled in an Allied Health-related course or degree
