Job Description:

AWF is seeking experienced and versatile All‑Round Machine Operators to support a range of civil, construction, and infrastructure projects. This role suits operators who are confident working across multiple types of machinery and equipment, and who take pride in producing high‑quality work in a safe, efficient manner.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate a range of heavy machinery including: Excavators (various tonnage)
  • Loaders
  • Rollers
  • Class 5 Trucks (transporting materials and machinery)
  • Carry out general civil and construction labouring as required
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery
  • Follow safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, site managers, and other crew members
  • Complete tasks such as trenching, backfilling, bulk earthworks, roading prep, compaction, loading/unloading, and cartage

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating machinery in civil, construction, water, quarrying, or earthworks environments
  • Class 5 licence (full) with WTR endorsements preferred
  • Competency operating: Excavators
  • Loaders
  • Rollers
  • Tip trucks / bulk haulage vehicles
  • Strong awareness of workplace health & safety
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with labouring when required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and MOJ check

Nice to have:

  • Additional machinery tickets or unit standards
  • Experience in road construction, drainage, subdivisions, or utility installation
  • DG, or similar endorsements
