Job Responsibility
Contractor Management: Review and approve Contractor Safety and Health Work Plans, Safe Working Procedures, and Method Statements
Safety Training: Oversee the delivery of safety inductions, tool box meetings, and specialized on-the-job training for new workers
Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct comprehensive site inspections and prepare for Safety or SHASSIC audits to ensure implementation of safety protocols
Risk Assessment: Lead and coordinate Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) for critical project milestones
Technical Oversight: Supervise specialized high-risk activities, including scaffolding erection/dismantling and heavy machinery operations
Incident Investigation: Act as a lead investigator for any site incidents, ensuring that proper preventive measures are implemented
Environmental Compliance: Manage environmental protocols, including the supervision of scheduled waste management and noise control
Stakeholder Liaison: Represent the project in safety committee meetings and prepare monthly safety reports for the client and relevant authorities
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
Prior experience within the construction industry
Possesses valid certification for the role (i.e Yellow Book for SSS)
