Job Description

We’re looking for an Aladdin Support Specialist to join a growing investment operations and technology function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their career who wants to build deep expertise in market-leading investment platforms while working closely with front-office, operations, and technology teams. You’ll support the day-to-day use and ongoing improvement of key third-party investment and operational platforms (Aladdin) helping teams get the most value from the systems that underpin investment decision-making and delivery. This role blends platform knowledge, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and change support, with plenty of scope to learn, develop, and grow into a broader platform or product role over time.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for users of investment platforms, helping to resolve issues and answer functional questions
  • Build a strong understanding of how the platforms support investment and operational processes
  • Work closely with investment, operations, risk and technology teams to understand how platforms are used day-to-day
  • Help users understand platform capabilities and best practices
  • Support platform enhancements, upgrades and configuration changes
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve platform usage, controls and data quality
  • Liaise with platform vendors on incidents, enhancements and general support queries
  • Track issues and follow through to resolution
  • Help identify risks, dependencies or control considerations linked to platform usage
  • Assist with reporting, metrics and updates for stakeholders and governance forums

Requirements

  • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment (e.g. asset management, banking, insurance or hedge funds)
  • Hands-on exposure to an BlackRock Aladdin
  • Understanding of core investment and operations processes such as: Order management and trading
  • Portfolio management
  • Compliance and controls
  • Settlements, reconciliations and corporate actions

Nice to have

Familiarity with major asset classes, particularly Fixed Income and/or Derivatives
