The main mission of the Airworthiness Technical Engineer for Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs) and Generic and Individual Repairs is to define applicable certification requirements for the ALS and other ICA manuals(AMM, Trouble Shooting Manual, IPC, etc..) to demonstrate its compliance. Airworthiness Technical Engineers are also expected to participate in Generic and Individual repairs approval as part of the different aircraft manuals and continuing airworthiness artefacts.
Job Responsibility:
Define applicable certification requirements for ICAs (AMM, Trouble Shooting Manual, IPC, etc..), including ALS and demonstrate its compliance
Coordinate and perform the airworthiness approval of Individual and Generic Repairs, exercising DOA/MDOA privileges (when available) as delegated by the Chief of the Office of Airworthiness
Provide expertise in ICAs and other continuing airworthiness artefacts to the design organization
Contribute to the definition of policies for the discipline under his/her scope, and promote their consistent application across programmes, including the participation in the development of new and foreseen airworthiness strategies or policies, in particular for novel or unusual design features or for compliance demonstration method improvement
Contribute to Airbus DS Research and Technology (R&T) projects related to the discipline (repairs using additive manufacturing, maintenance of future, etc..)
Contribute to develop specialized training to the overall Design Organization on the discipline under his/her scope
Support the timely achievement approval of ICAs, Individual and Generic Repairs through identification of technical issues and associated risk management plan, identification of regulation and interpretation issues. All of this in coordination with design office, including relevant CVEs, Chief Engineer and Services Organisation
Requirements:
Managing trans-functional and trans-national projects
More than 5 years of experience in the described functions
Master in Aeronautical Engineering
Proven experience in ICAs and ALS manual and/or source data generation
Experience in Airworthiness functions, in particular in structure (static and fatigue) and/or systems certification
Experience interfacing with the Aviation Authorities, will be a plus for the position
Knowledge about repair process and other ICA is desirable
Fluent English (knowledge of Spanish language will be a plus for the position)
Being capable to develop a CVE/DAE role in a short period of time after recruitment
