Job Description

As a Sales Assistant you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us. At WHSmith East Midlands Airport we have undergone an exciting transformation across all of our units and we are expanding our team! We are looking to add to our nightshift team, taking care of stock delivery and replenishment across our main airside unit as well as some work in our Arrivals & Check-In units to keep our standards high.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • 5 years continuous references (employment or education) without gaps
  • Criminal Records Bureau Check
  • Photographic ID (passport or UK Driving Licence)

  • Adaptable to meet company requirements and goals

  • Ensure appropriate staffing to operate store successfully by scheduling to demand, consistently creating and publishing the schedule 3 weeks in advance, and maintaining financial stewardship of store labor spending
  • Improve store performance measures (sales, service, loyalty, shrink, compliance, etc.) by coaching colleagues and working within the #OneTeam dynamic to identify and address barriers to operation
  • Maintain a safe and high-quality working environment that complies with all regulatory and company standards
  • Oversee timely and quality training of front store and cross-trained colleagues
  • Conduct regular check-ins with all direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Rx DL, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacy team and any other in-store teams (e.g., Minute Clinic, etc.) to foster a #OneTeam mentality and support a holistic total store staffing pipeline
  • Partner with FS DL to establish store priorities, implement new initiatives, and engage all colleagues
  • Act as an ambassador for CVS Health through professional behaviors and positive engagement within the community
