Reporting into the Contracts Transport Manager you will play a key role in driving our mission forward by maintaining cleanliness and waste management standards at the Sweeper Tip Facility near Heathrow Airport.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain a clean and tidy facility by sorting and loading waste from Heathrow contractors and carrying out litter picking, sweeping, and general cleaning as required
  • Report full containers or faulty equipment to the Shift Supervisor and Transport Office
  • Coordinate bulk waste collections with the Transport Office
  • Safely operate site equipment to process waste, bale, and compact materials for recycling
  • Operate and maintain the on-site Telescopic Handler to a high standard
  • Record daily activities, near misses, and accidents in the Site Logbook and report incidents immediately
  • Comply with all airside bylaws, company procedures, and manual handling guidelines
  • Assist with moving pallets, equipment, and vehicle loading when required
  • Provide cover for other roles, including van driving, waste collections, and compactor inspections once trained
  • Wear company-issued PPE at all times and follow all health and safety policies
  • Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder's Manager /Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder

Requirements

  • Must hold a full UK car driving licence
  • Provide a verifiable 5-year employment history in order to obtain Airside Pass
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experienced in carrying out manual handling and lifting tasks safely and efficiently
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks and priorities effectively to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
