Do you want to lead motivate and inspire others to succeed? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Worldwide Airports Directorate in this operational role as a Airport Manager - Scotland! This is a crucial role, supporting the Regional Airports Manager - UK & Ireland, by providing safety and operational oversight, and other critical functions, all whilst leading and empowering multiple suppliers and partners, across 4 airports in Scotland with a combined total of over 200 weekly departures.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the operational performance delivery of all suppliers at your airports
  • Support your Deputy Airport Manager in the delivery of agreed targets and goals in addition to the control of expenditure
  • You will be accountable for all required safety activities in your airports, ensuring they are fulfilled in a set and timely manner
  • Act as the Local Emergency Coordinator (LEC)
  • Represent British Airways' interests within your airports
  • Ensure that all airport activities are undertaken in compliance with BA’s corporate security and safety instructions, local security standards
  • Deputise for your APM colleagues during absence, maintaining effective links with relevant Head Office departments and service partners for day-to-day operational issues
  • Ensure that the quality of service delivered is in line with service level and contractual agreements
  • Ensure all local resources are utilised in such a manner that customer satisfaction and revenue is maximised, and efficiency is increased within given constraints

Requirements

  • Airport operations experience, or exposure to operational decision making
  • Experience of managing suppliers in an operational environment
  • A proven track record, demonstrating experience of decision making whilst balancing the complex needs of the operation, our people and the business
