Join the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as an Airport Development Engineer (Civil Engineer Transportation - Advanced). Positions available on the General Aviation West Team and General Aviation East Team. The Bureau of Aeronautics works on all things aviation related, from airport development to funding administration and aviation education. This position resides in the Airport Engineering Section which initiates and executes planning, design, construction and equipment acquisition projects for the state’s 90+ airports.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the entire scope of airport development projects, including contracting, planning, design and construction
Work directly with local officials, Federal Aviation Administration, and other state, local and federal agencies on sensitive and complex issues with broad authority to establish project parameters
Delegate project tasks to other section staff members
Requirements:
A valid Professional Engineering registration and be able to obtain a Wisconsin PE registration within 3 months if PE registration is from another state
