The Check-In agent is responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and accurate passenger check-in services while ensuring compliance with airline, airport and security regulations. This role is customer-focused and safety critical, serving as the first point of contact for passengers. The successful candidate will be required to perform other skilled and unskilled tasks related to the job to assure continuous operation by our client.
Job Responsibility:
Greet passengers professionally and provide excellent customer service
Check in passengers using airline reservations system
Issue boarding passes and baggage tags
Accept, weigh and process checked baggage according to policies
Resolve passenger issues such as rebooking's, seat changes and special requests
Coordinate with supervisors and airline operations
Manage gate operations and flight closure
Maintain a clean and organized check-in counter area
Manage all aspects of its business with regards to prevention of pollution and minimize or eliminate adverse environmental and health impacts
Complete various general administrative duties as assigned
Conduct environmental, safety and quality checks, general housekeeping in support of a healthy and safe workplace environment and taking proactive and corrective measures in these areas
Requirements:
Grade 12 or GED Equivalent
1-3 years of Check-In experience in the aviation industry
Hold a valid driver’s license
Proficient/knowledge and understanding of established Aviation practices, procedures and techniques
Proficient/knowledge and understanding of applicable local, and federal labour codes
Proficient/knowledge and understanding of organization and time management
Willing and able to travel
Pre-employment & Random Drug and Alcohol Screening
Annual Drivers Abstract
Criminal Record Check
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Computer Knowledge required for Passenger Check – In and Online Training
