Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Airframe Structural Design Engineer (f/m) to join our [Department name] based in Toulouse, France.
Job Responsibility:
Concept, Definition and Development design for structural components, assemblies and installations for aircrafts with modern design tools
Establishment of the Design principles, Key Characteristics Design, Interface definition
Active participation on the Collaborative process with Industrial part and Customer through Services
Supporting the complete lifecycle of an aircraft in a E2E Design Process you will use additional modern Tools and Software applications
Strong working ties to other Engineering departments (e.g., stress, system installation, material & processes, aerodynamic, configuration, DMU,…) and interfacing Design will broaden continuously your knowledge
Support various stakeholders with technical knowledge (e.g. purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production, M&P, stress analysis, CE, Architecture/Integration,…)
You will participate applying the state of the art of the design methods in the most of advanced defense projects
You will have the opportunity to see the result of your work in the final product and to be part of continuous improvement and innovative technology projects
Participation in the development of the technological areas of structural discipline
Requirements:
10 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to the airframe structural design
desirable experience in Empennage, Fuselage and Wing Structures, Military Systems installation, Mechanism (e.g. Movables, Doors,...)
Ability to design structures of components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production / assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate Design Tools
Ability to identify the technical activities of the development E2E (end-to-end) life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulations and Airbus Defense derivatives programmes requirements
Ability to manage and coordinate internal people than external companies
Able to work in definition, concept and development phases interfacing with other stakeholders functions
Good level of design, configuration management and modelisation knowledge (e.g. Catia, Full 3D, EPD, Optegra, 3dx, Sprint, SNT, ..)
fluent in French and Spanish and good level in English
Good communication skills and team player working spirit
Ability to travel, if position required
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities
