The designee is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the AM training program in accordance with company and USAF regulations. Designee is also responsible for maintaining situational awareness of airfield activities and overall responsibility for AMOPS section while on duty to provide a safe, efficient, and effective airfield environment for aircraft operations. The designee performs airfield inspections and checks for safety and compliance with planning and design criteria. Plans, organizes, and directs airfield activities to include airfield construction/repairs, airfield driving program, ice/snow removal operations, Bird/Wildlife control, etc. Procures, maintains, and produces information on safe operation of aircraft through the national and international airspace system such as Flight Information Publications, aeronautical charts and maps, NOTAM, local airfield and navigational aid status, and weather information. Process domestic and international flight plans. Coordinates with base agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance.
Job Responsibility:

Processing domestic and international flight plans
Coordinating with base agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance
Conducting daily meetings to evaluate site status and synchronize program execution to provide 24/7 mission support
Managing day to day site operations across all services, staffing, training, compliance, and customer support
Serving as the functional lead for Airfield Management and ensures safe, standardized execution of AFM duties in alignment with program requirements and local procedures
Responsible for overall site execution, daily operations, and mission support delivery
Leads Airfield Management functional oversight, including airfield inspections, airfield status reporting, and operational coordination with base agencies
Conducts daily shift change and coordination meetings to align priorities, staffing, and mission requirements
Manages administrative actions for site personnel, including monthly scheduling, timekeeping coordination, and training compliance
Assigns and ensures completion of work center additional duties
Monitors manning levels and approves leave requests based on operational requirements
Implements company policies, procedures, and standards across the site
Provides direction and leadership to assigned personnel
Ensures staff maintains required qualifications and local certifications
Coordinates workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables
Monitors and evaluates staff performance
Provides feedback and documents performance issues when required
Ensures Airfield Management products meet submission standards, including formatting, nomenclature, accuracy, and on-time delivery
Maintains AFM records, logs, and continuity files
Ensures proper version control and controlled storage
Tracks and reports site status, risks, and issues to Amentum leadership and the customer in a timely manner
Coordinates with functional leads, PMO staff, and external stakeholders to resolve operational constraints and sustain support
Ensures compliance with applicable airfield management publications, host nation requirements, and program procedures
Requirements:
Graduate of an approved DoD/Airfield Managers course or equivalent and aviation related experience as aircrew/dispatcher/flight follower with a 14 CFR Part 121 or 14 CFR Part 135 operator
Four (4) years of experience to include the following: Duties including supervision and coordination between air-traffic control and maintenance personnel, dispatching, implementing and enforcing airfield safety procedures
monitoring and maintaining flight records
applying knowledge of weather information, flight plan processing, flight following procedures, tracking aircraft movements, managing wildlife on and around airfield grounds, and implementing bird aircraft strike hazard procedures
Coordinating airfield maintenance and construction projects
Coordinating hazardous cargo and live fire devices, responding to aircraft emergencies, and conducting airfield inspections in accordance with AFMAN 13-204v2
