Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee daily activities for an assigned functional area of Bombardier Business Aircraft Services (i.e.: Quality, Maintenance/ Operations, Line Maintenance, Interiors, Exterior Finish, Building Maintenance, Open/ Close etc.)
  • Perform or supervise work on aircraft or aircraft components
  • Promote an open communication with all other related departments personnel
  • Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control on work performed by him/ her or members of the team working with them are satisfactory performed and accomplished attending to customer requirements and complying with Bombardier Policies and Procedures and Aviation Authorities Rules and Regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years aircraft License maintenance experience of substantiated equivalent experience in functional area
  • Must possessed substantiated experience to train employees in performance their duties within area of specialization
  • Demonstrated planning / organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of team members within a multiple project setting
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned employees, other business areas, contractors and customers
  • Able to work independently and manage a team of direct reports
  • Research and support the Planning Department on project schedule, parts ordering to ensure parts are available to meet scheduled delivery times
  • Track progress of multiple project to ensure budgetary control is maintained
  • Highlight any concerns to Project Manager to avoid delivery overruns
  • Ensure direct reports for accurate Time Recording and Time Keeping
  • Ensure that work is performed in full compliance with approved and applicable technical data (procedures) without shortcuts
  • Ensure Work packs are followed and duly filled up with all necessary information reflecting work performed, any special techniques used such as NDTs, calibrated tooling, equipment and progressively signed off
  • Hold an Aircraft Maintenance License with 5 year signing off experience - EASA -B1, B2 with Bombardier types prefered
  • College/ Diploma and / or equivalent academic qualification
  • Minimum 8 years of aviation experience and have at least 5 years of license experience with approvals
  • Minimum two (2) years leadership/supervisor experience in an aircraft maintenance
  • Thorough working knowledge and experience of and with EASA, FAA and CAAS requirements and other Asian NAA requirements pertaining to maintenance programs and procedures
  • Verbal and Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and throughout the organization
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and supporting staff within a multiple project setting
  • Leadership skills necessary to make decisions with sound judgment, train and mentor employees for improved performance, coordinate activities among them, and guide day-to-day targets
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (e.g., Six Sigma)
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management Standards and applications of same
  • Working knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Environmental requirements and regulations as they apply to workplace safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations
  • Working knowledge of best practices within Maintenance field
  • Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications
  • Working knowledge of SAP maintenance transactions or similar ERP
  • Fluent English oral and written skills
  • Readiness to travel if necessary
