The Senior Sheet Metal Specialist is responsible for repairing and creating essential aircraft parts and fabricating custom-making metal components critical to the functioning of an aircraft. The Senior Sheet Metal Specialist is responsible to the manager and/or production supervisor for the following, but not limited to:
Job Responsibility
Skilled in and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering drawings
Fabricating and repairing sheet metal parts and components for aircraft.
Using specialized tools such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal materials.
Responsible for completion and accuracy of aircraft/equipment forms documentation and MIS input.
Accomplishes all maintenance forms required by duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with Real ID within 30 days of employment
Must be able to obtain and maintain site access. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain site access.
Must have four (4) years of maintenance experience and must include two (2) years of sheet metal experience on like assigned aircraft (DD 214 or employment record)
Oversees projects and handles complex repairs.
Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements as stipulated in Appendix E of the CBA.
Nice to have
Airframe, Powerplant or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.
