Airbus is looking for an Aircraft Quality Inspector to join our team based in Mobile, AL. You will be part of the team responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on the aircraft structure and mechanical systems.
Job Responsibility:
Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation
Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements
Document the technical inspections performed in the multiple production orders SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports
Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures(FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests
Compile all technical data of non-conformance in order to launch the NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets for the professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation
Document all the results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP based IT system
Attain skills to perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB)
Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence
Track and maintain components during the Non Conformance process
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination
Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line
Handling and use of inspection tools of the length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical)
Must be able to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
Nice to have:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization
Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role
Airline experience
