Job Description:

We’re looking for B1 and/or B2 Aircraft Mechanics to join our newly created team at Boscombe Down to deliver an exciting engineering programme that will see our Flight Test Aircraft contribute to the development of the UK’s Future Combat Air System (FCAS). Our Aircraft Mechanics play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft and performing maintenance tasks in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on 757 aircraft
Perform routine inspections
Troubleshoot aircraft defects
Assist in modification programmes and Avionic suite upgrades
Document maintenance activities accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Adhere to all relevant safety protocols, procedures, and regulations
Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance within the team
Flexibility to work at other 2Excel sites in line with business needs

Requirements:

Experienced Aircraft Mechanic
Bias towards mechanical, avionics and/or sheet metal work
Experience of working on large aircraft essential
Experience and/or type rating and recency on Boeing 757 extremely advantageous
Experience of working in a Part 145 MRO environment
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, and powerplants
Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Commitment to quality outputs
Effective communicator, both verbal and written
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Eligible to hold a UK Security Clearance

Nice to have:

Experience and/or type rating and recency on Boeing 757
Good mix of line, base and modification experience in a Part 145 MRO environment
