The Aircraft Mechanic I is responsible for providing repair services on assigned airframe/aeronautical components and performing approved repairs. The ability to produce quality work in non-negotiable deadlines is part of this position.
Job Responsibility:
Uses schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publication in operating, testing, removing, troubleshooting and replacing aircraft system components
Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs
Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft
Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems
Performs the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily
Performs aircraft conditional inspections including, but not limited to, 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections
Performs all required aircraft servicing tasks
Operates and inspects ground support equipment and documents/reports discrepancies prior to use
Performs all tasks associated with ground movement of aircraft
Orders parts and supplies as needed
Follows technical data, manuals, regulations, company policy, and other maintenance directives as required
Identifies and documents aircraft discrepancies on appropriate forms
Participates in towing and movement of aircraft in performing maintenance activities
Removes, installs, opens, closes, aircraft equipment and panels as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of Aircraft Mechanic experience
Must be able obtain/maintain any company/government required licensing, certification, qualification, or clearance
A working knowledge of aircraft systems and of the use of common aircraft hand tools and special tools
Thorough understanding of Company processes and operations
Basic computer skills
Demonstrate professionalism through appropriate communication and behavior
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a high-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to judge and make decisions quickly & accurately
Flexibility, ability to learn new concepts quickly
Knowledge of technical documents such as technical bulletins, alert service bulletins, etc.

Must have a Valid Driver’s License
