Aircraft Mechanic I (W&T)

• Provide off-equipment maintenance for wheels, tires and associated equipment used on assigned aircraft
• Manage, forecast and coordinate overhaul maintenance for over 50 wheel & tire assemblies spanning 4 different aircraft MDS's
• Operates all associated ground support equipment and uses hand tools, special tools, fixtures and adhesives applicable to maintenance and repair
• Researches technical data, maintenance drawings and blueprints for inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned equipment
• Disassemble /Reassemble, inspect, repair and repack Boeing and Gulf Stream wheel & tire assemblies
• Monitors bench and shop stocks and orders material and supplies as required
• Coordinates maintenance efforts with the NDI Shop, Sheetmetal Shop, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Operation Coordination Center
• Documents applicable forms and inputs data in Maintenance Information System
• Ensures compliance with applicable safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOO prevention programs
• Must be able to work first shift, second shift, third shift, and/or weekend shift as required
• Performs other duties related to the occupational field as assigned
• May be tasked to perform work center additional duties with provided training, to include temporary duty and travel
• Must maintain all training requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
• Must have a working knowledge of applicable technical publications and repair procedures for wheel & tire assemblies
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• The ability to read and interpret technical data is required
• An FAA Airframe License is required
• Must meet physical requirements, occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
• NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain clearance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license

A working knowledge of corrosion control techniques and base, federal and Company procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials is preferred
