Job Description:

Become a part of our dynamic Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. This role presents a unique opportunity to join a highly professional team whilst working on advanced military airlift capabilities such as the prestigious C-17A Globemaster. This will be in support of the Royal Australian Airforce. Take the opportunity to make a real impact by supporting vital aerospace operations that contribute to Australia's national interests.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of C-17A aircraft systems
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Mentorship of subordinate technicians

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen to be able to possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain
  • Hold a C class driver's license
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience working with Military aircraft
  • Hold CASA or DASA Maintenance License or the ability to obtain
  • Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
  • Have a working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems
