Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Aircraft Maintenance and Technical Documentation Engineer on Avionics Systems to join our Customer Services - Technical Data department based in Toulouse, France. In Airbus Customer Services, Technical Data department is in charge of delivering the maintenance manuals to our customers and securing the completeness of the maintenance instructions (Instructions for Continued Airworthiness) at its delivery. Your mission will be to undertake this challenge in order to fully answer customer's maintenance expectations. Our Operational Unit develops, delivers and supports aircraft maintenance documentation directly used by our customers (airlines, MRO Maintenance Repair Operations, lessors). It will enable the safe and efficient accomplishment of maintenance operations all along the A/C life cycle, in accordance with airworthiness requirements and regulations. The position is open within a team which has an expertise on Avionics systems (ATA 23 / 31 / 34 / 42 / 45 / 46).

Job Responsibility

  • Production Management: Leading of all the authoring activities (internal and external) related to the AMM and TSM for your technical perimeter, guaranteeing on-quality and on-time delivery
  • Performing the analysis of inputs (drawings, design modifications,...) to define the impacts on the maintenance manuals delivered to the airlines
  • Managing the source data: planning, technical verification and incorporation
  • Challenging the Design offices in terms of input contents and planning when necessary
  • Monitoring of subcontracted maintenance authoring activities, including the request and the follow-up of any necessary recovery action plan
  • Accountability of the aircraft maintenance instructions delivery (creation and updates) in full compliance with the specifications, the requirements, the safety rules, the contractual commitments, the approved schedules, the quality standards and within the budget objectives
  • Customer support: Ensuring Customer efficient support by answering daily customer queries and implementation of maintenance instructions changes when necessary
  • Ensuring Customer support respecting the defined performance requirements
  • Be part of meetings with customers when necessary
  • Transverse role and workload management: Be part of regular review meetings with Design office and local subcontractors, managing workload and priorities
  • Secure fulfilment of Safety rules, Quality process and Technical Data guidelines
  • Identify and escalate any risk related to priority, cost and quality

Requirements

  • 5 years Degree in engineering (2 years experience would be a 'plus') or 10 to 15 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or production environment
  • Knowledge of Aeronautics, Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Systems (Avionics systems is a 'plus')
