Are you passionate about aircraft performance, structural analysis, and advanced simulation? We’re looking for an Aircraft Loads Engineer to contribute to the design, certification, and continued airworthiness of next-generation aircraft.
Job Responsibility
Perform simulations and analyses to determine aircraft design loads for new development programs and in-service aircraft
Develop and maintain both low- and high-fidelity models to support external loads analysis
Design automated tools and frameworks to improve the efficiency and accuracy of loads analysis
Build store separation loads analysis capabilities for missionized aircraft programs
Develop nonlinear actuator models to support Transport Canada certification requirements
Work with a variety of commercial and proprietary engineering tools, including six-degree-of-freedom aircraft simulation environments
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace specialization preferred)
Experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on aircraft external loads analysis
Strong background in nonlinear modeling and aircraft certification processes
Proficiency in C++, Fortran, MATLAB, and Python
Experience with numerical methods, scientific computing, and high-performance computing environments
Knowledge of software development practices, including version control systems such as Git
Solid understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, aeroelasticity (flutter, LCO), and unsteady aerodynamics in both the time and frequency domains
Experience with finite element analysis tools such as Nastran
Familiarity with fly-by-wire systems, control law integration, and aircraft certification requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
