Ryanair Engineering, delivered by PAML, provides heavy aircraft maintenance services for Ryanair’s fleet of Boeing 737 NG and MAX aircraft. Based at Prestwick International Airport, the company supports one of Europe’s largest and most dynamic airline operations. Our Apprenticeships offer candidates a structured training pathway which will enable them to develop a career in aircraft maintenance engineering. Apprentices will be given the opportunity to gain valuable experience across all areas of the aircraft, learning from experienced professionals. Job Responsibility:
Gain comprehensive experience across all areas of aircraft maintenance, supporting work on wings, engines, fuselage, tail, cabin, and flight deck systems
Complete a series of engineering modules enroute to becoming a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (for Aircraft Engineer Apprentice)
Perform hands‑on structural sheet‑metal repair tasks aligned with approved maintenance data and aviation safety standards (for Aircraft Structural Repair Apprentice)
Requirements:
A strong academic background with good attainment in Mathematics, English and Physics at higher level is required (for Aircraft Engineering (B1/B2) Apprenticeship)
Applicants should have a P.E.O. and N.C. level 5 in an Engineering discipline (for Aircraft Structural Repair Apprenticeship)
Candidates who have completed or are close to completing a qualification in Aeronautical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline are also encouraged to apply (H.N.C./H.N.D. or equivalent)
Strong practical ability with evidence of mechanical or technical aptitude
Effective problem‑solving skills and interest in engineering principles
Clear enthusiasm for aviation and motivation to pursue a career in aircraft engineering
Candidates must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the U.K.
Must be Eighteen years of age on or before October 2026
