Job Description:

We are seeking an Airframe Structural Design Engineer profile with a minimum, and proof, of 15 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to the detailed design, as components than assemblies and interfaces.

Job Responsibility:

  • Concept, Definition and Development design for structural components, assemblies and installations for aircrafts with modern design tools
  • Establishment of the Design principles, Key Characteristics Design, Interface definition
  • Active participation on the Collaborative process with Industrial part and Customer through Services
  • Supporting the complete lifecycle of an aircraft in a E2E Design Process
  • Strong working ties to other Engineering departments and interfacing Design
  • Support various stakeholders with technical knowledge
  • Follow-up of the design Suppliers
  • Participate applying the state of the art of the design methods in the most of advanced military projects
  • Have the opportunity to see the result of your work in the final product and to be part of continuous improvement and technology projects
  • Participation in the development of the technological areas of structural discipline

Requirements:

  • Minimum and proof of 15 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to detailed design
  • Ability to design structures of components and assemblies optimized for weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while ensuring highest safety
  • Ability to identify technical activities of the development E2E life cycle
  • Desirable previous skills, knowledge and proof experience in other Airbus Defense programmes and S/C external companies
  • Able to work in definition, concept and development phases interfacing with other stakeholders
  • Master degree of Aeronautical or Industrial Engineer (or similar engineering discipline)
  • >10 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to airframe structural design
  • Good level of design, configuration and modelisation knowledge and Airbus overall design tools use and methods (e.g. Catia, Full 3D, EPD, Optegra, 3dx, SNT...)
  • Good fluent level of English Language
  • Desirable some knowledge of French
  • Good communication skills and team working spirit

  • Desirable some knowledge of French
  • Desirable previous skills, knowledge and proof experience in other Airbus Defense programmes and S/C external companies
