Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage air traffic control (ATC) operations in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow
  • Collaborate remotely with a diverse team to develop high-quality training data for AI-driven aviation solutions
  • Design and curate realistic and edge-case scenarios to enhance AI robustness and system learning
  • Validate, analyze, and provide feedback on AI-generated outputs to support continuous improvement and accuracy
  • Teach undergraduate-level courses, create detailed syllabi and supplementary educational materials, and lead engaging discussions or tutorials
  • Evaluate, grade, and record student assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of ongoing professional development

Requirements

  • Proven experience in air traffic control operations and strong understanding of aviation regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical thinking with a knack for scenario design and problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a particular emphasis on remote instruction and collaboration
  • Familiarity with AI training data development, validation, and quality assurance processes
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and operational needs
  • Experience mentoring, training, or teaching in technical or operational environments
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities, including grading and instructional preparation

Nice to have

  • Previous experience teaching undergraduate or technical courses in aviation or related fields
  • In-depth understanding of AI applications in aviation or airspace management
  • Advanced certification or continued professional development in ATC or aviation education

  • Communicate with aircraft using proper radio transmission procedures and protocols
  • Provide controlled aircraft with flight information necessary for them to accomplish their mission and avoid interfering with other aircraft operating in the area
  • Maintain a log of all aircraft activity on the Range
  • Set-up, check-out, operate and monitor radar displays and other computer generated multi-sensor display systems in support of Range Operations
  • Responds to changing operational requirements when directed
  • Maintain surveillance and notifies RCO of unidentified aircraft or vessels entering the operational areas
  • Direct Range aircraft and boats in the launch and recovery of targets and the recovery of weapons
  • Perform aerial target coordination tasks during RPV flights and aircraft coordination during remote site EW operations as required
