Job Description:

As a member of the Group Safety Team, the Air Safety Investigator is responsible for conducting air safety investigations, supporting the Event Investigation and Analysis Program for the Safety Management System. The investigator will manage the investigation database, ensuring investigations are performed to stated requirements, as defined in the Event Investigation and Analyses Program Plan and conduct investigations across the company, ensuring sustainable actions are provided against findings. The Air Safety Investigator will also develop and maintain the Safety Continuous Improvement Program.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the day-to-day Event Investigation and Analyses Program for the company, conducting quality investigations and identifying sustainable solutions for implementation to prevent future occurrences
  • Write and submit completed safety investigation reports to the Senior Deputy Safety Manager for review and approval
  • Upload all investigations into the company software tool, Centrik, and manage all required preventive actions to completion
  • Maintain the investigation database to ensure all investigations and associated actions are conducted and completed in a timely manner, and follow up on overdue actions
  • Manage Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs), ensuring investigations and closeouts are completed on time and reported to the regulator
  • Provide assistance to the Group Safety Manager and the Deputy Safety Manager, as required
  • Provide inputs into the Safety Newsletter in terms of aviation safety

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of aviation regulations, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and accident/incident investigation methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driving Licence
