As a Engineer or Scientist, you will be part of a team that tackles complex environmental challenges across diverse industries such as mining, agriculture, and advanced manufacturing. As an Air Permitting Specialist, you will prepare environmental permits and plans, perform regulatory and technical analysis, write technical reports, conduct audits and inspections, and provide program management support. You may be involved with climate action, sustainability, and resilience planning, air dispersion modeling, and evaluating greenhouse gas emissions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge of air permitting to a variety of environmental projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to the sustainable development of industrial sites.
Job Responsibility:
Work on air permitting / compliance projects and ensuring adherence to project scope and schedule
Assist in preparing technical reports and documents for permits and compliance measures
Support small-scale project management, including monitoring timelines, budgets, and scope under the guidance of senior staff
Prepare environmental permits and plans
Perform regulatory and technical analysis
Write technical reports
Conduct audits and inspections
Provide program management support
Be involved with climate action, sustainability, and resilience planning, air dispersion modeling, and evaluating greenhouse gas emissions
Requirements:
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to contribute and work well with a team
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
3 to 5 years of professional air quality project experience, including permitting, modeling, monitoring, and reporting for Clean Air Act compliance
Knowledge of air emission methodologies, air dispersion modeling, construction and operating permits, and regulations under EPA’s PSD, Title V, NSPS and NESHAP programs
Familiarity with state and federal air regulations and regulatory processes
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, and team members
Experience with small, medium, or large-scale client environmental consulting projects and representing clients to stakeholders including regulatory agencies
