Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Operations Specialist to join our team on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern 7am to 7pm. This role is integral to ensuring smooth and efficient handling of air freight consignments, delivering exceptional service to our clients, and maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to Express clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage operational shared email inbox and ensure smooth workflow of consignments
  • Follow up and resolve operational issues and customer service concerns promptly
  • Responsible for accurate and timely sales invoicing and job costing
  • Process import/export documentation and create/submit Customs Entry Declarations
  • Stay informed on market trends, company products, services, and industry news
  • Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Document client business processes and requirements thoroughly
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC export and import entry regulations through self-auditing
  • Maintain accuracy of export and import entry declarations
  • Monitor inbox and respond to emails in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong knowledge of AOG/NFO & Express operations
  • Professional approach to work
  • HMRC Customs procedural knowledge, including import/export entry submissions
  • Confident using computer systems including Excel, CRM databases, BoxTop, and CDS
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships and thrive in a target-driven environment
