Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate international air export shipments from start to finish
  • Prepare export documentation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Arrange transportation, flight bookings, cargo movement, and shipment tracking
  • Communicate with airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, overseas agents, and customers
  • Monitor shipment milestones and provide proactive status updates
  • Prepare and process export documentation including Air Waybills (MAWB/HAWB), commercial invoices, packing lists, and related shipping documents
  • Complete and verify AES filings and ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations
  • Review shipment details for accuracy
  • Maintain complete and accurate shipment files
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding air export shipments
  • Respond to inquiries, resolve shipment issues, and communicate shipment updates
  • Coordinate with overseas agents to ensure smooth destination handling
  • Enter shipment data and costs into the operating system
  • Review vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with job costing, billing, and file closeout procedures

Requirements

  • 2+ years of air export freight forwarding experience preferred
  • Knowledge of international air export documentation and procedures
  • Experience with AES filings and export compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, airline routing, and freight forwarding operations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight forwarding software systems
