Requirements

An education at mid-level, preferably in shipbuilding
Are you in possession of a valid VCA or VCA-Vol certificate
Must be able to communicate with the employee in Dutch or English
Demonstrable work experience as a Ship Metal Worker
Experience with reading drawings, measuring and marking
Experience with tack welding, grinding and burning
Previous experience with HVAC/ductwork installation is required
Certificate & experience with operating aerial work platforms (scissor/boom lifts)
English language skills at a minimum B1 level

Job Responsibility

Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to determine the layout and placement of the ductwork
Fabricating and Assembling: Measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting sheet metal and other materials (like flex pipe) into duct sections
Installation: Securing and connecting the finished ductwork and ventilation components (like air handlers, vents, and dampers) on-site
Sealing and Inspection: Ensuring all ducts are properly insulated, sealed, and aligned to maintain efficient airflow and comply with building codes and safety standards
