Job Description:

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Air Compliance Permit Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN. This individual will lead the effort to assess current and planned site operations and activities for a large-scale manufacturing operation to ensure environmental air compliance for the Company. As the company adds additional equipment and activities requiring air permitting the existing insignificant emission activities will be subjected to permitting requirements. After assessing the need, this individual will be responsible for applying for the required air permit(s), develop site procedural requirements and develop personnel training.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the effort to assess current and planned site operations and activities for a large-scale manufacturing operation to ensure environmental air compliance

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Environmental Engineering or Science. A related degree in Science, e.g., Chemistry or Biology, may be considered with relevant work experience
  • Minimum 8 years of regulatory policy and regulatory compliance including air permitting (Title V permit experience preferred) along with a minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience required
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong communications/interpersonal skills required
  • Professional licensing or other recognized environmental certification preferred
  • US citizenship is required
  • An active DOE Q clearance (or DOD equivalent) is required

Nice to have:

  • Professional licensing or other recognized environmental certification preferred
  • Title V permit experience preferred
