The AI & Transformation Programme Manager will oversee large-scale programmes that integrate AI initiatives with broader digital transformations. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, particularly at the C-suite level, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams. Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in programme management, with a proven track record in managing complex transformation programmes. Knowledge of AI governance and ethical considerations in AI deployment is preferred.
Job Responsibility:
Lead large‑scale programmes across both public and private sector clients spanning AI and non‑AI aspects, ensuring delivery to scope, timelines, and strategic outcomes
Own programme mobilisation, governance, delivery structures, and financial controls across multiple parallel AI and business workstreams
Provide authoritative leadership in environments with high ambiguity, shaping direction, clarifying requirements, and enabling decision‑making
Engage and influence senior stakeholders across client organisations
drive alignment across business, data, engineering, security, and operations functions
Develop and maintain delivery plans, tasks, actions and RAID items to ensure structured and consistent delivery execution
Represent programme status, risks, strategic decisions, and business impact to executive steering groups
Manage RAID across a multi‑partner ecosystem, including dependencies between AI and broader transformation initiatives
Oversee programme commercials, forecasting, financial governance and vendor/partner management
Coordinate delivery across data foundations, ML/GenAI workstreams, operational transformation, and user‑centred design
Ensure AI use cases are adopted through change management, training, and organisational readiness planning
Lead business change strategy, including TOM design, process redesign, capability uplift, and benefits realisation
Ensure transformation outcomes land sustainably across operational teams
Support compliance with ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations, and service standards
Requirements:
8+ years’ experience in programme management, including leadership of large (£5m+), multi‑workstream transformation programmes
Proven ability to operate with high ambiguity and drive clarity in fast‑evolving environments
Demonstrable experience managing C‑suite or director‑level stakeholder groups
Experience leading programmes blending AI, data, engineering, and business‑change initiatives
Strong commercial management experience, including budget ownership, business case development, contract management, and vendor oversight
Proven track record delivering programmes within regulated or complex enterprise environments and leading delivery teams of mixed geographical locations (shores)
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving mindset with adaptability to fast-changing environments
Nice to have:
Knowledge of responsible AI frameworks and ethical considerations in AI deployment
Experience delivering GenAI or machine learning programmes
Background in transformation across sectors such as public sector, financial services, telecoms, manufacturing, energy and utilities or others
Familiarity with AI governance, RAI frameworks, and compliance standards
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and leading Agile teams is an advantage
Exposure to agentic AI systems and emerging AI technologies
Experience with change management and organisational readiness for AI adoption
