Citi is looking for an AI Technology Enablement Director to lead the strategic deployment of artificial intelligence across its Client Organisation — a group that directly supports revenue growth managing Credit, Marketing, Research, Client Delivery, and Ventures on behalf of Citi's businesses. In this senior role, you will serve as the primary interface between the Client Organisation and Citi's enterprise AI teams, shaping how AI is adopted, governed, and scaled across a globally significant financial institution. You will partner with the Office of AI and Client Organisation leadership to drive end-to-end AI lifecycle delivery, from use case intake through to embedding change across business teams.
Job Responsibility
Define and advance the AI vision and strategic roadmap for the Client Organisation's core pillars — Credit, Marketing, and Research — ensuring alignment with firm-wide technology planning cycles and business objectives
Evaluate proposed AI and GenAI technical solutions, drawing on hands-on implementation experience to assess architectural soundness, foundational requirements, and reuse opportunities across the organisation
Design and manage the intake process for AI use cases, conducting rigorous technical feasibility assessments to ensure each initiative aligns with strategic priorities and technology roadmaps
Translate complex AI and data concepts into clear business terms, enabling senior leaders to make well-informed decisions on technology investment and prioritisation
Build and sustain relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Legal, facilitating consensus and maintaining momentum on the AI agenda
Oversee future-state design elements — including enterprise AI model integration — to ensure the Client Organisation's AI infrastructure is scalable and fit for long-term business needs
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI programme delivery, ensuring decisions reflect sound judgement on regulatory, reputational, and operational considerations
Monitor emerging AI technologies and market trends, evaluating their relevance and applicability to the Client Organisation's strategic priorities
Requirements
12–15+ years of experience in financial services or technology, with a substantial portion spent in a senior technical, AI, or emerging technology leadership role
Hands-on knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, with demonstrable experience implementing Generative AI solutions in complex organisational environments
Advanced data expertise — including the ability to deconstruct business logic from structured data sources, reverse engineer database models, and interpret intricate data relationships
Capacity to review, challenge, and advise on solution architecture and design decisions, including foundational choices and opportunities for cross-team reuse
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing and building consensus among senior leaders across multiple functions without direct authority
Deep knowledge of financial services, including commercial awareness and familiarity with how technology strategy is developed and prioritised in a large institution
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
a Master's degree is an advantage
Nice to have
Familiarity with enterprise AI operating models and governance frameworks, including experience coordinating across centralised AI functions and distributed business teams
Experience working within or alongside functions such as Credit, Marketing, or Research in a financial services context, with an understanding of the data and workflow challenges specific to these areas
Awareness of the firm-wide technology strategy and the ability to position AI investment decisions within a broader organisational roadmap

A hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, providing flexibility alongside meaningful in-person collaboration
Significant career development potential within a firm that is investing at scale in AI and emerging technology
The opportunity to interact with and influence senior leaders across the firm, with genuine scope to drive outcomes that matter across global markets
