Job Description

The AI Residency is a fixed-term (3–6 months) position where you will work on high-impact AI and robotics projects alongside full-time team members. You will help build infrastructure for simulation, data management, and learning, and bring research-level ideas into production. This role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to deployed robotic systems while gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of AI and robotics.

Job Responsibility

  • Apply cutting-edge research from the AI and robotics community to real-world product applications
  • Scale solutions using robot fleet data
  • Build evaluations to benchmark open-source models on relevant tasks
  • Develop and maintain the “data engine” including front-end UI and back-end systems for log review, data cleaning, and labeling
  • Deploy new capabilities to robots at customer sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • graduate-level students in ML or robotics preferred
  • Proficiency with large Python codebases and experience writing tests
  • Ability to prototype ideas independently and rapidly
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
  • Fast learner and independent contributor
  • Capable of conducting ML research and building scalable infrastructure
  • Experience with systems programming
  • Experience training large-scale ML models (e.g., visual foundation models, LLMs, generative models) or publishing in top ML conferences
