Job Description:

We’re looking for an AI Product Owner to shape, lead, and deliver AI-enabled solutions that make a real difference for our clients. This role sits right at the intersection of business need, AI capability, and delivery execution. We are looking for someone who understands how AI works, what’s possible, and how to turn ideas into clearly defined, deliverable outcomes. You’ll work closely with customers, consultants, and technical delivery teams, owning the product vision and roadmap for AI initiatives and ensuring projects move confidently from discovery through to production. This is an ideal role for someone who is delivery-focused, commercially aware, and genuinely curious about AI. Someone who enjoys running projects, navigating complexity, and helping teams turn innovation into reality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the vision, scope, and roadmap for AI-driven products and initiatives
  • Translate business challenges into clear product requirements, priorities, and user stories
  • Lead AI projects from early discovery through to delivery, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business goals
  • Balance innovation with execution — helping teams move from concepts and experimentation into operational, production-ready solutions
  • Define and track success measures to ensure delivered solutions create real, measurable value
  • Act as the primary product interface between customers and delivery teams
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to deeply understand business needs, constraints, and opportunities for AI
  • Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by managing expectations, priorities, and trade-offs effectively
  • Work closely with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and analysts to shape solution design and delivery approach
  • Support responsible and ethical use of AI, considering data quality, governance, security, and risk
  • Help customers understand the opportunities, limitations, and operational implications of AI solutions
  • Contribute to shaping best practices for AI product delivery across Inference Group

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Delivery Lead, or Project Manager on technology-enabled projects
  • Proven experience delivering data, analytics, or AI-driven initiatives into live, operational environments
  • A strong understanding of AI concepts (e.g. machine learning, automation, large language models). Enough to confidently guide delivery and challenge assumptions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align business, technical, and compliance perspectives
  • A structured, thoughtful approach to problem-solving and project delivery
  • A collaborative mindset and the empathy required to succeed in a consultancy environment
  • Must already have the right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a consultancy or client-facing role
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum product ownership
  • Exposure to AI governance, cybersecurity, data ethics, or regulatory considerations
  • Experience questioning existing ways of working and identifying innovative solutions that add real customer value
What we offer:

Hands-on experience, mentorship, and access to ongoing learning, certifications, and emerging technology
