We're launching a new vertical SaaS business within Valsoft to build an AI-powered communications platform for skilled trades and home services, and we need a AI Lead to lead it from day one. Skilled trades and home services businesses are experiencing unprecedented demand, yet most are losing revenue daily due to operational bottlenecks that legacy business systems can't solve. Our AI platform will autonomously manage customer calls, book appointments, and handle follow-ups, capturing lost revenue and freeing trade professionals to focus on their craft instead of their calendars. The market is large, fragmented, and proven. Established players have demonstrated strong demand and rapid adoption, validating both willingness to pay and urgent need. As AI Lead, you'll shape the product, build the team, and establish market leadership backed by Valsoft's capital, infrastructure, and portfolio resources to move fast and win.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a new B2B SaaS business built around AI innovation in a vertical software market
Develop and execute a scalable go-to-market strategy: identify early adopters, iterate on positioning, and close first customers
Build a milestone-based plan, allocate budget, and raise capital with our support
Assemble a high-performing team to execute across product, tech, sales, and operations
Nurture relationships with trade and service company owners, technology partners and other Valsoft businesses
Own and operate the business with full autonomy
P&L responsibility: You’ll run the company day-to-day and long-term
Product and market vision: You’ll lead strategy, execution, and team alignment
Customer outcomes: You’ll focus relentlessly on value creation for users
Requirements:
3+ years of experience building or operating AI software with leadership experience (e.g. Product lead, Startup Founder, or Sales/Operations lead)
Demonstrated success in building early-stage ventures or leading 0→1 product launches, with bachelor in relevant field
Domain expertise and / or unfair industry insight in the Field Services industry
A founder mindset: You’re motivated by building from scratch and fully owning the journey
Grit and resourcefulness with proven success of operating without a playbook
Excellent communication skills across technical and business domains
Ability to drive the overall company vision, culture, and performance
