Job Description

At InPlanet, we are building a new category in carbon removal: and how we operate internally needs to evolve just as fast. We’re looking for an AI & IT Operations Lead who will fundamentally change how our teams work by embedding AI into everyday operations, while ensuring our systems remain reliable, secure, and scalable as we grow. Your mission is clear: use AI to multiply how the company operates: reducing manual work, increasing speed, and helping teams make better decisions. At the same time, you will own the IT backbone that keeps everything running smoothly, from our digital tools to our physical environments, including our Lab in Piracicaba. This is not a support role. You are the owner of AI enablement at InPlanet: from spotting opportunities to making sure solutions are actually used and create real impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify where AI can 10x our workflows
  • Turn ideas into real tools
  • Work directly with teams to redesign processes and embed AI into their day-to-day work
  • Drive adoption, not just implementation
  • Create simple playbooks and best practices
  • Own AI governance
  • Stay on top of what’s evolving
  • Own our IT ecosystem end-to-end
  • Set up and maintain the IT infrastructure for our Lab in Piracicaba
  • Manage our core tools (Notion, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Personio, etc.)
  • Own device lifecycle management
  • Ensure strong cybersecurity practices
  • Act as the go-to person for technical support
  • Continuously improve how our systems connect and work together

Requirements

  • ~3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or similar roles
  • Experience experimenting with or driving AI / automation initiatives
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools, workflows, and system optimization
  • Solid understanding of IT environments (networking, access, security, etc.)
  • Experience managing SaaS tools and integrations
  • Comfortable with automation or scripting (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Advanced English and Portuguese
  • Based in Piracicaba, Campinas, or São Paulo region

Nice to have

  • Experience in startups or fast-scaling environments
  • Experience building AI workflows at scale
  • Basic knowledge of Python or similar
  • Interest in Climate Tech, AgTech, or lab environments
  • Experience with device management (MDM)

What we offer

  • Home Office Budget
  • Personal development budget
  • Language Programme Monthly Allowance
  • 40+ days annual leave
  • The opportunity to be autonomous, make a huge difference and belong to a vision
  • Occasional off-sites in Brazil
  • Laptop to fuel your productivity
