Job Description:

PDS Engineering team is at the forefront of deploying AI-driven tools like the ASPICE Reviewer, Functional Safety Reviewer and other AI initiatives. AI Intern will have a chance to contribute to these initiatives, helping achieve 2026 engineering efficiency targets. This isn’t just theoretical work, it’s hands-on development with measurable outcomes. AI intern will receive guidance from experienced professionals and is encouraged to contribute ideas and take initiative.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the development and deployment of AI-driven tools—including the ASPICE Reviewer, and tools for Functional Safety and Cybersecurity —within the PDS (Powertrain) organization to help achieve 2026 engineering efficiency targets
  • Contribute to release verification, deployment planning, and training activities to ensure successful adoption of AI solutions
  • Collect and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of deployed AI tools
  • Coordinate agenda topics, logistics, and follow-up actions for AI/ML Committee meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by the team

Requirements:

  • Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college, university, vocational/trade school
  • Ability to report onsite at least three days to our Auburn Hills Campus throughout the year
  • Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence
  • Proficient in Computer Language: C++, HTML, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills to drive AI innovation in the engineering development environment
