Job Description

The AI Inside Transformation Consultant at NTT DATA will lead AI initiatives across business units, focusing on enabling AI adoption and driving organizational change. This role requires strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business challenges into AI-driven opportunities. A bachelor's degree in business or technology is required, with an MBA preferred. The position offers a hybrid work environment and the chance to shape the future of AI within the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with business representatives to identify high-impact AI use cases across key business functions (e.g., operations, HR, customer service, risk)
  • Develop and maintain AI initiative roadmaps, aligned to both near-term priorities and long-term transformation goals
  • Track emerging AI trends to inform internal planning and innovation
  • Act as the internal product owner (or work with a business-based product owner) for AI initiatives, ensuring solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Work with the APAC AI team and ANZ Transformation Program to prioritise and sequence AI opportunities based on value, feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Help develop business cases for AI initiatives, including expected benefits, risks, and resource needs
  • Serve as a key liaison between business teams, data and analytics, IT, and vendors to ensure alignment and clarity of purpose
  • Drive collaboration between technical experts and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and successful delivery
  • Work closely with the ANZ Transformation Office to identify where AI can streamline or redesign existing business processes
  • Support enterprise transformation efforts by embedding AI into initiatives focused on operational efficiency, digitisation, and employee productivity
  • Ensure AI solutions are integrated into broader transformation programs and aligned with process reengineering goals
  • In alignment with the APAC AI Governance Board and the APAC AI Taskforce, collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure internal AI adoption aligns with ethical standards and regulatory expectations
  • Support internal communication and change management efforts to promote AI literacy and adoption
  • Drive the ANZ-focused AI community of ambassadors and change agents to embed AI as a new way of working
  • Define and track success metrics for AI initiatives, covering both financial and non-financial benefits, leveraging the APAC tools available to support this
  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset to evolve AI use cases based on results and feedback

Requirements

  • Experience leading or supporting AI, data, or digital transformation projects in large organisations
  • Proven ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and drive delivery of complex initiatives
  • Strong business analysis and product ownership skills – able to translate business needs into structured opportunities
  • Understanding of the ethical, legal, and risk considerations surrounding AI deployment
  • Familiarity with how AI and data solutions are used in business, even if not deeply technical
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong organisational awareness and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • A strategic thinker with a pragmatic and delivery-oriented mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Data, or related discipline
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
