As an intern at ResMed, you’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things. The Consumer & Growth – Digital Consumer team develops digital experiences that delight users and support our broader mission to transform health outcomes. We believe in curiosity, collaboration, and innovation — and we’re looking for an intern who’s excited to explore how artificial intelligence can make software development smarter and more effective for teams building products our users love. As an AI Engineer Intern, you’ll join our software engineering team for a summer internship, working on real problems that directly impact how we build software. You’ll explore how GenAI tools and automation can improve software development workflows, code quality, and productivity — from automating release processes to building templates that unlock AI-assisted developer experiences.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to identify opportunities where AI and automation enhance software development workflows
Build and prototype tools using GenAI frameworks (e.g., LLMs, RAG frameworks such as LangChain) for tasks like code review assistance and automated documentation generation
Implement automation for release processes and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and other tooling
Use Python, JavaScript, and AWS services to prototype and deploy solutions that integrate with developer environments
Apply GenAI approaches to test automation and quality improvements
Document your work and present findings or demos to the team
Requirements:
Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025
program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026
Currently working toward or recently completing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Coursework or experience in software development fundamentals
Familiarity with Python and/or JavaScript
Interest in AI tools for software engineering (e.g., GitHub Copilot, RAG/LLM tooling)
Exposure to CI/CD and test automation concepts
Comfortable working with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and collaborative engineering workflows
A desire to learn, ask questions, and contribute in a fast-moving environment
Nice to have:
You don’t need specialized machine learning or data engineering expertise — just enthusiasm for how AI can improve how engineers build software
