Job Description:

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop foundational components and mature technology capabilities for data engineering in AI and LLMs
  • Work in a fast-paced environment tackling cutting-edge problems by constantly testing and learning
  • Understanding of large language models, transformers, agentic frameworks
  • Gather, analyze, and reconcile large datasets from multiple sources to support regulatory closure documentation and internal reporting
  • Design and maintain PowerPoint decks and reporting materials used to brief senior leadership on key data trends, issues, and resolution timelines
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, translating complex data findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Deliver concise, well-structured presentations to Senior Leadership that support strategic decision-making
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional stakeholders to ensure clarity and transparency in data reporting and closure documentation processes
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, training, and execution with precision and timeliness
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with Citi Data Governance Policies, Standards and Procedures
  • Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
  • Impact the AI development function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering, Python Development, Data Architecture or Data Pipeline role
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Experience with data engineering and data analysis using Python, AI LLM modules
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
