In this role, you'll play a key part in co-ordinating, supporting and enhancing high-quality student placements, ensuring students receive an engaging, safe and supportive learning experience. You'll work alongside Practice Educators and Team Leaders, helping them create positive, inclusive learning environments where students can truly thrive. You'll develop strong partnerships with our University colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and streamlined placement model that works for everyone involved. You won't be doing this alone -- you'll be supported by dedicated administrative support, allowing you to focus on delivering impact. You'll also join a supportive network of AHP Practice Educator Facilitators, working together to develop innovative approaches that enhance learning for both students and clinical teams. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate student placements within the PTOT Service, ensuring alignment with academic and organisational requirements
Build and maintain effective partnerships with academic institutions and manage student assessment processes
Develop, deliver and evaluate learning activities for students and colleagues, promoting evidence-based practice
Create and enhance training resources, including workshops and digital learning materials
Provide guidance and support to students and colleagues involved in education delivery, acting as a source of advice
Requirements:
Registered AHP with HCPC
Post graduate qualification at Masters level or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a combination of in-depth experience, post graduate or post registration study and/or courses
Recognised teaching and assessing qualification or commitment to undertake formal learning
Significant post qualification experience in a clinical field where education and training of others is common practice
Demonstrable teaching and assessing experience in a variety of settings with adult learners
Experience of supervising pre-registration and other colleagues undertaking learning
Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating learning
Knowledge of national developments and policies of relevance to this post
Ability to collaborate with people to agree solutions
Ability to collect, analyse and report on data related to student placements, supporting growth in placements and subsequent deliver of tariff income
Ability to influence and negotiate with colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to provide pastoral support making adjustments to support learning
Flexible approach to work with the ability to problem solve
Ability to build networks to share best practice and keep up to date with new developments
Ability to teach in a variety of settings adapting to people's different learning styles
Ability to use different Microsoft software packages
Commitment to education and development of AHP colleagues and self
Demonstrate enthusiasm for the post
Effective communicator using a variety of mediums
