Job Responsibility

  • Leads and initiates sales calls of assigned products with an emphasis on seed, crop protection, plant food, and precision supported programs with targeted growers for Dubuque County
  • Develops a high level of personal trust with the ability to influence grower purchasing decisions
  • Displays high level of actives sales skills with the ability to close sales calls
  • Identifies buying motives, handles objections, and meets sales goals
  • Develops whole farm proposals that create differentiation in the marketing place to proftiably grow seed, crop protection, plant food, and precision volumes
  • Actively calls on accounts and prospects
  • Personally knows the top 10 accounts at location
  • Attains and maintains technical and sales skills to certification standards
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by their manager

Requirements

  • Daily independent travel within the trade area with occasional overnight stays
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development
  • Associates Degree in agriculture or business is preferred or a minimum of three years' experience in a related field and in agricultural sales
