Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a positive representation of Heritage Cooperative’s Core Values
  • Works both inside and outside in all seasons
  • Operates skid loader, forklift (training and certification required)
  • Assists in chemical warehouse
  • Completes light maintenance work in off season
  • Assist with preventative maintenance on all plant equipment to obtain the maximum efficiency and ensure the longevity of all fixed assets
  • Complete required records and reports
  • Exhibit an energetic and polite attitude throughout all encounters during the workday
  • Fulfill customer orders in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in a neat, clean, safe, and environmental sound condition
  • Operate machinery such as a forklift to load out product in an accurate and safe manner
  • Run receiving systems and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to receive product
  • Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Training and learning all aspects of the agronomy department, including both sales and operational responsibilities
  • Develops territory and competitive analysis to gain knowledge of the marketplace and the competition
  • Responsible for meeting goals as established by supervisor
  • Learn to create and recommend specific agronomy programs to targeted accounts with goal of increasing agronomy business
  • Learn to utilize seed, precision farming technology, finance, and other marketing tools to grow market share
  • Work with Crop Specialist on implementing, organizing and completing agronomy projects
  • Learn how to develop target marketing plans and trains on professional sales techniques, including FS Sales road map, cropping programs, emphasis of appropriate features and benefits, and contact management system when calling on patrons and prospects
  • Assists with regular patron meetings on product and technical information to develop customer relationships and drive sales
  • Learn to operate application equipment, drive tendering equipment, fill anhydrous ammonia tanks, mix crop protection products, etc.
  • Works with precision farming and becomes familiar with department programs and procedures

  • Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance
  • Loads and unloads trucks according to company policies and DOT regulations
  • Ensures that all deliveries and pick-ups, and all associated documentation are made according to company expectations and standards
  • Responsible for maintaining company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image
